Best Expected 4th Generation Pokemon In Pokemon GO

Tangrowth

Of all the Pokemon that are listed in this article, Tangrowth has to be our riskiest pick yet. No offense to the evolution of Tangela, but it just doesn’t specialize in any one given area. In the Mainstream Pokemon Games, Tangrowth is more balanced than not. And by balanced, we mean more above average instead of anything else. It has decent offensive powers, being able to do some damage each turn, eventually defeating a Pokemon if given long enough to do so. It also has some nice bulk, being used more often than not as a staller with both Leech Seed and Giga Drain. Because Tangrowth is more on the defensive side, this could mean it receives a nice Combat Power Level when converted to Pokemon GO. However, since it doesn’t do anything better than other specialists. Tangrowth could be just another mediocre Pokemon.

If Tangrowth does receive some nice stats and, in turn, a very good Combat Power Level, it will most likely be used as a Gym Defender, like so many others on this list. Honestly, Tangrowth is basically the Grass Type Version of Magnezone, a bulky defensive Pokemon that can still hit opposing Pokemon sufficiently hard. Tangrowth has a shot at being the next great Gym Defender that can literally absorb hit after hit without fainting, slowly but surely causing damage to opposing foes and outlasting them in battle. We aren’t saying Tangrowth will be the next Snorlax or Blissey, or even Wailord for that matter, but it should still be able to efficiently defend a Pokemon Gym so players can cash in on more free PokeCoins.
