Within these top five Pokemon left on our list, we actually predicted four of them to be the best of the Johto Generation in Pokemon GO. Espeon was one of them, and that was even before Niantic readjusted all the Max CP off all the First Generation Pokemon and seriously boosted Alakazam and many other fan favorites. It took a lot of nerve, but we had a gut feeling this Pokemon would rise though the ranks.Unlike Umbreon, we weren’t wrong this Eeveelution.

Coming in with a Max CP of 3000, Espeon is the fourth best Johto Pokemon in terms of this statistic. However, Espeon is far and away the biggest one-trick-pony of this group. Espeon does what it does as good as any other Pokemon, and that’s wreaking havoc by attacking gyms. But outside of this, Espeon comes up short in just about every other category. It doesn’t have Stamina, and its defensive is less than desirable. It’s among the best, but like Alakazam, this Psychic Type isn’t built for balanced approach.
