Strongest Sun and Moon Pokemon
Salazzle
Much like Midday Lycanroc, Salazzle is one of the few Pokemon in this Generation that has speed. Speed is key, and that's all Salazzle would need. However, Salazzle has much more than meets the eye. It also has a special attack that can hang with the best of them, and with a Movepool that includes Nasty Plot, it only gets better. Salazzle also has a unique ability that allows a player to poison other Poison Types as well as Steel Types. Sure, it could use a little bulk, but no Pokemon is perfect. Besides, Salazzle is best as a sweeper, and a sweeper it certainly is.
Passimian
Now most might not believe that Passimian is that great of a Pokemon, some might not even know how good it really is, but Passimian is one of the best kept secrets in all of Alola. If you've been playing Pokemon for some time now, especially if you play competitively, you should easily know the name Bisharp. And Passimian is a lot like Bisharp, just in the form of a Fighting Type. They have very similar stats, with high Attack and very good Defenses. They aren't the quickest in the world, but they get by with what they have. And let's not forget about the ability of Defiant that they share. Instantly, once one of their stats are lowered, their Attack instantly doubles. Passimian is one mean monkey that should be messed with!
Silvally
When thinking of the best Pokemon in all of the Seventh Generation, Silvally instantly comes to mind. And why not? All of its stats stand at 95, just 25 total base points lower than the likes of Mew, Celebi, Victini and Phoine. Those are four Pokemon that are pretty darn special, and special is something that Silvally definitely is. At first, many believed Silvally was connected to Arceus because of its ability that changes its type based on the memory type it holds. Unfortunately, this isn't the case; however, Silvally is still one tough Pokemon. Some may say that Silvally is more like Kingdra in terms of its stats, being average across the board much like said Pokemon. But since Silvally is even stronger than that with its moves and ability, Silvally definitely deserves a little more respect.
Passimian should not be here, yes I know about Bisharp and sure he may have similar stats, but that was not the point of Bisharp, the point of Bisharp was that he had access to STAB sucker punch to do huge damage with priority and steel typing to remove annoyances like sylveon, due to being a fighting type, Passimian is next to useless due to its low speed no matter what its attack and defences are. It can easily be outdone. If you're looking for a good fighting type stick to lucario or scrafty, something that knows what its doing and what its meant to do so can take down the bulky normal types.
Personally, I disagree with most of this list. This article contains many mistakes/typos.(Magearna's shift gear boosts speed, not gear grind.)Secondly, you wrote that magearna threatens complete zygarde. I suggests quite the contrary: Complete Zygarde is bulky enough to survive magearna's fleur cannon most of the time, and will knock out magearna with earthquake since it is faster. Also, Xurkitree, in my opinion, does not deserve the number two spot as it is heavily outclassed by tapu koko. Xurkitree does have high special attack, but Tapu Koko's electric eerrain-boosted attacks also reach that level. Xurkitree also suffers from the fact that it cannot function well without a choice scarf or it risks being eliminated by dugtrio, which Tapu Koko beats easily. Running a choice scarf on Xurkitree makes it susceptible to gound types, or incredibly weak to Alolan Marowak due to lightning rod, and the fact that it resists Xurk's coverage. Tapu Koko can pivot out of Alolan Marowak with uturn.
