Have We Seen The Last Of Ash Ketchum?

We are nearing the end of yet another Generation of Pokemon, with news of the next coming in groves, and with that comes the conclusion to another season of the Pokemon Anime. As usual, Ash Ketchum has been traveling another region with another new group of companions (Kalos Region; Clemont, Serena & Molly), again reaching the apex of the Pokemon League Tournament.

But unlike previous times at this same feat of other regions, Ash actually made it to the finals. Unfortunately, Ash once again came up just short, losing to a new face of the Anime Series apart of the Mega Evolution Television Specials (Alain). And though it was one of Ash's most epic, competitive battles yet, it has left fans wondering if they have indeed seen the last of Ash and his famous Pikachu.

Ash, along with his Pikachu, has been around from the beginning - a character comparable to the Mysterious Trainer Red of the original Pokemon Games - a successful run for twenty years now. It has been an incredible accomplishment, especially for one character of basic concept and basic story line, but just how much Ash has left in the tank remains to be seen or made known.

Will the Pokemon Company send Ash to the Alola Region? Or will they have him hang up his unforgettable hat and call it quits, leaving the reboot spot open for a new trainer?

Like most things related to Pokemon, an idea that has captivated audiences for over two decades, time will only tell.
