The best and worst Pokemon Go news

So what are the dangers

So the game is clearly fun and has millions of people on the move. Unfortunately for some the excitement of hunting virtual monsters in a real world environment has meant a few injuries have been reported as people wander the streets and parks with their concentration on their phone.

The app does remind you to be careful while playing and thankfully there doesn't seem to have been any serious incidents so far. But there have been many requests for players to stay safe and keep their focus on their surroundings while out. And warnings not to attempt to search for pokemon while driving .

There have also been some privacy concerns. With the app requiring your contact details and to know your location some are concerned about the huge amount of data the the developer will be amassing on its players. The real world location of people are also of concern while playing. If you see other players in your area in the game then you will also be able to find them in real life.

Police in Missouri put out a warning that armed robbers were believed to be targeting people hunting for Pokemon. "It is believed these suspects targeted their victims through the Pokemon Go smartphone application," the post on the force's Facebook page said. "Apparently they were using the app to locate people standing around in the middle of a parking lot or whatever other location they were in." Officers said criminals had been lying in wait in locations known to have pokemon or other resources.

So the clear message that many police and other authorities have been sending out is to take care when playing and if whereever possibly play with a friend or group to stay safe.

Finally the most surprising story was from Wyoming where an unsuspecting player found herself a real life surprise while hunting for a pokemon near a river. Told to search near a natural water source she approached the Big Wind River under the Wyoming Highway 789 Bridge. When she started looking around though she discovered a mans corpse .
