Though it doesn't have the best button layout option, it is possible to play Arms when in a bind with just one JoyCon Controller. When using one single JoyCon by itself, a player will need to tilt the controller sideways to play, and they can only use the buttons on the controller to punch (as well as L & R to activate burst mode). This style of playing is best used when playing Locally or Online with two players on one Switch.
