Currency Guide

Apex Legends is a free-to-play game that features various different kinds of currency as well as loot boxes which are referred to as Apex Packs. All these forms of currency are listed below with details on how to earn them.

APEX PACKS

Apex Packs are earned during gameplay were it is possible to earn a total of 45 free Apex Packs between level 1 and level 100 (the level cap). Each Apex Pack 'loot box' contains three in-game cosmetic items of varying rarity ranging from uncommon to legendary. These include: weapon skins, Legend skins, banners, voice lines, and crafting metal. Apex Packs can also be purchased using Apex Coins which is the game's premium currency.

• 1 Apex Pack costs 100 Apex Coins ($1.00 USD)

• 10 Apex Packs cost 1,000 Apex Coins ($9.99 USD)

Apex Packs has a 'bad luck protection' which prevents duplicates from dropping. Once a cosmetic item is earned, it gets removed from the potential drop pool. This guarantees that you will earn at least one Legendary item within 30 pulls. Below are the probabilities of drops having something greater than common items:

• 100% - Rare Item or Better

• 24.8% - Epic or Better

• 7.4% - Legendary

Each Apex Pack can have three items from any of the following cosmetic types:

• Weapon Skins

• Legend Skins

• Legend Finishers

• Banner Frames

• Banner Poses

• Banner Stat Trackers

• Intro Quips

• Kill Quips

• Crafting Metals

APEX COINS

The premium currency in Apex Legends is Apex Coins and it can either be purchased with real money where they come in various allotted sizes ranging from 1,000 coins up to 11,500 coins or earned by playing. Apex Coins can be used in the rotating shop wherethey are used to purchase Apex Packs, characters (Legends), and limited-time cosmetics.

LEGEND TOKENS

The only way that you can earn Legend Tokens is through gameplay where they are awarded after leveling up. Legend Tokens can be used to unlock Legends and select cosmetics.

CRAFTING METALS

Crafting Metal can only obtained by opening Apex Packs. It is spent on unlocking cosmetics at the 'Legends' tab of the lobby screen where there is approximately 1,880 items in total to choose from. When you consider unlocking a single legendary item costs 1,200 Crafting Metal and you can only earn 15 Crafting Metal per common drop it is advised that you spend your Crafting Metal wisely as it will be impossible to earn even half of the items in the game withought spending real money. Basically you will struggle to get all the cosmetics you want unless you get very lucky with your Apex Packs. Below is a list of the prices for cosmetic items based on rarity.

• Legendary - 1,200 Crafting Metals

• Epic - 400 Crafting Metals

• Rare - 60 Crafting Metals

• Common - 30 Crafting Metals
