Introduction

Ah, animal crossing. My childhood. You know, a lot of the time my friends say, "What's Animal Crossing?" and I say "Oh, it's a live-your-life game." and they almost always reply "What's that?" now let me clear this up. If I ever say "live-your-life game" I mean one where you get a character and you live your life and, well...yeah. Anyways that's just a little story and isn't important at all. This is about a game that shaped my childhood, made me have fun, and made me lose at scrabble.(When the museum curator, Blathers said "Eh, wot, wot?" I thought "Wot" was a word.)

Graphics

Now, the graphics. To me, the graphics usually aren't important to me but in this game I found they had more of a special place in my heart. The reason? For a game that's supposed to be sorta' realistic(umm, actually no.) the graphics are really bright and colourful. And that made it seem more appealing to me as a little kid. Thats pretty much actually all I've got to say for graphics. Not great, but appealing! (also not bad since it was meant for N64)

Sound

Sound, well I love the music, it feels like I'm walking along the road with a skip in my step and makes me want to well, walk along the road with a skip in my step. Also the talking is a little annoying: yapapapaapapapapypa? YEESH! But however I love the little beeeeorwo of when a text window appears or leaves.

Gameplay

You can talk, dig, smack, fish, shake, run, open, catch and walk around your town and the controls are fairly simple, most important actions are used by A which is what is normal. Now I would've said, "Meh, you can't jump!" but I realized you don't need to at all so that would be a stupid thing to say. This game is fairy addictive and I always leave saying "OH! I forgot to do something!"

Lastability

I will play this game for seconds, minutes, hours and eventually years without getting bored. The good thing about this game is it never ends because everyday something new will happen. I would say this game lasts very well, no perfectly! It never ends!

Overall

This game is excellent for kids who want a house, parents who want something laid-back (my mom loved this game!) and anyone looking to style a world however they like! It's really a great place to express your creativity and play some NES! (oh, and if your looking to have a laid-back game, avoid shaking trees too much. Bees.)

Final Score: 82%
