Appointment as Mayor

As soon as you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by some of its inhabitants. You’ll now be given a map, which is what you selected earlier in the train. Head to the town hall marked in your map and enter the building. Once inside, you’ll be introduced to Isabelle, your assistant. After a short conversation, you’ll have to go to Nook’s Homes in Main Street on the other side of the tracks.

Just head to the marker and you should immediately find it. Head inside and Tom Nook will welcome you. He’ll then ask you if you have already decided which spot in town you would like to build your house. He will accompany you to the other side of the tracks.

Now choose an open space to build your house and talk to Tom when you found your preferred spot. He will also give you a preview of the house when it’s built. When you’re contented with the location, confirm with Tom to reserve the spot for you. Since building your house will take time and resources, you’ll be given a tent to stay for now.

Return to the Town Hall next and talk to Isabelle. You’ll receive your TPC or Town Pass Card. Continue with the conversation and Isabelle will bring you to the town plaza where you’ll plant a tree sapling to commemorate your appointment as mayor.

After this, you’ll be able to save your game and do whatever you want in town. For starters, return to the Town Hall and talk to Isabelle.
