Research Credits: UFO Technology

Thanks to the combined revelations of the advanced genetic science used in the creation of the “Thin Man” type of alien and the “Floaters” as well as the examination of significant pieces of the wreckage from downed spaceships and the many different components of the same, we have started to piece together different aspects of the physics and technology behind the UFO design and engineering.

The better understanding we have gained through the autopsy and later the interrogation of the Thin Man, who it seems is a bridge officer serving the position of Navigator on board the alien vessels, has been augmented by the vast knowledge that the Thin Man possesses, and our ability to tap into it.

(A) Foundry Projects


Stealth Satellites:By studying the communication signatures of the UFO Navigation Computers we've recovered, we can update our satellite network to mimic the alien communications, which will result in the satellites being much harder for the aliens to detect.

To achieve this level of technical mastery over the alien concealment tech it is a prerequisite that we complete our research into the Alien Navigation Computers recovered from downed or captured alien spaceships.

The completion of the prototype Stealth Satellite requires the following resources:

  • $150 from our operating funds - $75 if we have completed the Future Combat research project;
  • x20 Elerium from our inventory;
  • x20 Alloys from our inventory;
  • x3 Functional UFO Flight Computers;
  • x20 Engineers from the Engineering Workshops;
  • x7 Days Research Time.

Completion of the prototype project can be hastened by full completion of the UFO Technology Research Credit.

(B) Research Projects


UFO Power Source:With the element known as "Elerium" housed within, this compact device is somehow responsible for generating the enormous amounts of power consumed by the alien vessels. Given time, we may be able to adapt this technology for our own fighter craft.

Completion of the UFO Power Source Research Project requires the salvaging of sample UFO Power Source units from downed alien spaceships, and the completion of the prototyped sample for this project will cost x1 salvaged fully-functional UFO Power Source..

Completion of this research will result in the design and availability of a new facility for our base called the Elerium Generator, which will allow us to utilize the UFO Power Source to provide the power we need for our base, thus freeing up valuable space for use by Lab, Workshop, and Satellite facilities.

Alien Navigation Computer: "The navigational control systems recovered from the crashed UFO seems to act as both a flight computer and a communications module. Further study may lead to reliable improvements in our ability to detect incoming UFOs.

The completion of our research and prototyping for this project requires x3 fully-functional UFO Flight Computers from downed alien spaceships. The successful completion of this research will result in the unlocking of the following:

  • New Facility: Satellite Nexus
  • New Research Project: New Fighter Craft
  • New Foundry Project: Stealth Satellites
