You need a total of 100 nirnroot to complete the quest Seeking your roots. At first Sinderion ask for 10 then 20 then 30 then 40.

When looking for nirnroot turn the music completely down so you can hear the ninroot because it gives off a slight humming noise. It took me a couple of nirnroots before I figured out what to listen for .

Ninroots are mostly found near the rocks around the water. You can also find them in potted planters in some houses ,but be careful because it might be considered stealing .
