There is another proven workaround for the Clavicus Vile Glitch. However, it's near impossible to pull off. To do this, talk to Vile and ether give him the sword or not. When you do, run away from the shrine for about 3 seconds. Then fast travel to the West Skingrad Gate. As soon as the dog starts to talk to you, open the menu quickly. Timing is importaint with this workaround. There is also a free patch for the game that will sucessfully fix the glitch. If you have a modem, hook your 360 up to it with the Ethernet Cable, and start the game. You should be prompted to install a patch. Do so and the glitch will be fixed. But you can only install the patch if you have DSL/Broadband. 56K won't connect to the 360. Use the workaround listed above if you cannot install the patch.
