Where can you find stones and clay to build with

Xbox skyrim to build your own house whete do you buy or dig mine etc.

If you have added the DLC Hearthfire and have the Lake Manor in Riften (I think), there are places around the area you were given to build in that you can mine. To get Quarry Stone, there is a wall of it to the right wall against the hillside (with a pickaxe under it) where you can mine some.
If you look to the left of where your home will be built, there is a redish area on the ground where you can mine up clay.
Both resources are infinite.

I notice this is a very late response, but I thought it would be fun to answer.
