For the quest blood on the ice I have been in and out of windhelm about 30 times and I still haven't been able to see the dead body on top of the grave and I was wondering of anyone could give me some assistance?

If you're playing on the 360 the quest won't start. It's bugged. I've read online that if you go to Windhelm too late in your game you're pretty much screwed. I haven't found a way to start the quest. If you're not playing on the 360 there may be a fix out there somewhere, but I haven't looked.

I'm stuck waiting for the Bethesda patch they said won't even be out til Jan. At the soonest. Until then you can't buy the house and the quest won't start.

If you go to windhelm after 3 in game days have passed you will not get the quest at all so if you plan on later on owning every house in the game you need to go to windhelm right after you go to white run wait til 2 am and the body will be there .. There is another glitch that doesnt allow you to finish the quest so I suggest that you catch the real killer no accuse the wizard

I beat the game and thenent and got the quest and I finished it on the 360, it was around day 47

I am on the 360 and I got stuck when jorlief won't give me assistance... I bought the house and now I just need jorlief to give me assistance... Any ideas? There sure are alot of glitches... Can't finish white phile either.

First off, you have to enter at night, but if you already did, I have a friend who had this problem, and he claimed that he entered Hjerim (the house) and the quest just started. I think that Hjerim does not require a key to open it. If it does, then try talking to everyone in the Jarl's quarters in Windhelm to see if they will give you a clue, of if you could possibly buy the house.
