Ok I got a black soul gem but I can't figuere out what I'm sopposed to soul trap
For my black soul gem to have it's max gem power.

With the black soul gem, you can finally capture human souls with it. But the value for a full black soul gem will not go up. But hey! You can finally capture human souls!! It will really help if you had Umbra. You are very welcome.

The black soul gems are used to capture the souls of the other races in the game
Like nord,breton,altmer,ect.
