Hey I'm thinking about buying this game. One question, do you need to play the first 3 to understand the main quest? And can you really ride horses? Because I hated how long it took to travel in Morrowind.

Yes you can ride horses and it's the most awsome rpg in the world and I didnt play the first 3 and I understand the game so by the friggin game it's awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!(oh and when you get it don't be a nord or breton)

Don't worry about getting the first three, their quests are unrelated. And also, alongside horses is a new fast travel system which takes you instantly to a place you have already been.

No, you don't have to have any knowledge of the previous games to understand the main quest. I haven't played any of the other games in the series and it has nothing really in it that is in the previous. However sometimes there are small things that were in the previous games. The game should inform you on them.
