Question for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Ok people I'm on the chorrol reccomendation for the mages guild and I gave the book to that girl instead of the lizard and know I have to get it back from the girl but her room is locked, and I don't have any lock picks or the open average lock spell.... How else can I get the book back??????

Well I think the best way to do it is to buy some lock picks. If you are in the thieves guild, any fence will sell you lockpicks for six a piece. They sell one hundred total. Thats one hundred lock picks for a small fee of six hundred gold. Or doing Nocturnal's Daedric shrine quest is an option. The skeleton key never breaks.

Instead of buying a lot of lock picks, you could just but one and then duplicate them. That's what I do and I never run out of lockpicks.
