It really depends on what you would like to be if ure a high elf you will have loads of magicka but you're restistance is crappy low, orcs are the best for fighting but are weak in spells, nord have high mana and nice restistance and the rest are with mid mana and mid health and mid power. For mages high elves or bretons. Warriors redguards,orcs, or nords. Thieves khajiit or woodelves.

I would say the argonians(wrong spelling I no =p) because:
1:they can breath underwater
2:They are resistant to poison(i no spelling agian)
3: They make great theves and assassins!!!!!
