Only in the Grand Championship match when you have to take the Grey Princes' armour.
It's a shame because halfway through some one drops an awesome reflect spell shield,

Actually I don't think even then. You can pick up a Minotaur's weapon and things like that after you become the Grand Champion, but nothing else. And you get choose if you want heavy or light Championship armor I think, but I'm not sure.
