Question for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Ive been playing Oblivion for some time now, Im still only a level 1. Douse it take forever or do I have to do something speacial?

It can take a while sometimes, but if you have fought alot, then you should have level up by now. Try killing a strong opponent, or just go out and start killing, you should have a level up by no time.

To level up, you need to increase your major skills by a total of 10 points, then sleep.
For example, if one of your major skills is Light Armor, then you need to practice using Light Armor during combat, which involves getting hit while wearing it. And for Block you need to successfully block an enemy's attack.

The easiest Major Skills I have seen so far in the game are: Block, All the Magick skills other than Healing and Alchemy. And Sneak. Use them, and you should level up quite quickly.
