Level 13 i go in circles, need help pls...TELL ME THE WAY!

I do everything I can to find the boss in lvl 13, but when I go into the dark portals, I get sent back where I was before I went in it, I'm going in circles! PLEASE tell me which ones to take or tell me what parts to go to, I'm lost and I really want to beat the game D:

At one point, you'll get to the area with a bridge. At that point, there will be a shadow under the bridge. Go under that and you'll get to the greenhouse. Go through the door that should lead to the "follow the light" part. Follow it (At one point you'll have to go backwards. Do it.) Then, you'll get to the golden statue just before you fought the she-viper as Nero. Then, you fight her as Dante. Ta-Da.
