Question for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

On Kashyyyk (spelling?) I'm trying to get the star forge thing and I have to talk to this computer to do it. I'm on the light side and I don't want to get dark side points, but if I get light side points these defense droids come from nowhere and kill me and my guys. How do I beat droids with shields, flamethrowers and those freeze rays? They're ticking me off!

It's pretty tough, but you have a few options. First off, you can go to another planet and train (the Tatooine desert is where I go). Or you could answer the questions, get Dark Side points and do some extra good deeds to make up for it. If you really want to fight it, before talking to the computer equip your strongest shields and armour (If you have that fireproof belt that you buy from the Tatooine spaceport, use that). Unequip armour that is useless in combat, like stealth belts etc, these can be replaced by useful equipment. Then check your weapons. You need a good 'to hit' score with dcent damage. Try rearranging weapons (check the 'to hit' and damage values for a single lightsaber, two lightsabers and a double-bladed lightsaber to get the best balance). If you have a party member that's good with blasters, position them at range and let them attack with ion blasters (Don't forget to check their 'to hit' and damage scores with ion rifles, pistols). Don't forget to keep replacing shields when they run out, and use medpacs and healing Force powers (cure, heal). But really, just answer the questions and get the Dark Side points.

They don't really give you that many Dark Side points. I'd say just answer the questions as Darth Revan would. Or you could try to fight the droids, using your best equipment (I prefer having Bastila on my team, and since Jolee is needed to get in, I have him too) like two lightsabers for you, a single for Jolee, and dual-bladed for Bastila (but that's just me). Also make use of your ion grenades, stimulants, defensive Force powers, and mines that you've come across. After you own the droids, the computer will apologize, find that you "match the previous user," as he puts it, and will give you the Star Map.

You can do it.

All that you need to do to beat the droids is equip a good shield ( I recomend a sith energy shield) and make sure you have a lightsaber and good armor.
Also if you give your allies the best weapons to fit their feats and skills then you have a much better chance off beating the droids.

Ya like was a 5second fight ... and is my first planet gone to... don't take the dark side points faster to kill droids prolly anyway
Guest answered:

Lots and lots of mines

Guest answered:

You want to use powers effective against droids like destroy droid or you can just attack them if you don`t have that.
