Question for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

When you first land on a planet after you leave the jedi academy the first time and have to fight Calo Nord and he has two people with him, how do you beat him? When I shoot him the bullets bounce right off him and don't effect him at all and grenades hardly do anything. Help please!!!!

Well, you should equip yourself with an energy shield because he uses blasters, and his companions use swords don't they? So you want good armour too- take batila or/and juhani with you so they heal you. As for HIS energy shield use melee weapons- preferably a sword because lightsabers are energy swords thus not affecting someone using an energy shield. You should save right before you verse him(which this person would most likely would have done maz!) and using poison grenades would be effective against him. I wish I could be of more help.

Also to add to mazzarooney's answer have everyone attack Calo and ignore his cronies. Once Calo is dead the others should go down easy.
