For those who keep asking, here is a quick guide on drag racing:
1) Go to options and see what the key/button for "Shift Up" is. In drag races, you are forced to use a manual transmission.
2) When you see the blue icon appear in the middle of your screen, get ready to push the "Shift Up" button. As soon as it turns green, hit it once.
3) For steering, your car will automatically turn for you. The only use for your turn keys is to change lanes, so don't worry about turning around corners or going too fast.
4) Avoid other cars. Crashing once disqualifies you from the event.
