Date of Question: Mar 19 2007 | Question ID: 79870 On Halo 2 the sentinels hate you but on halo combat evoled they help beat the flood, how come they don't hate you in halo 1 |
Becouse in halo 1 they are scared of the flood, the flood is a bigger threat and in halo 2 they hate you for destroying halo the sacred ring.

They don't "hate" you, they were ordered by the moniter to aid you against the flood in the first Halo, but when Cheif neglected to activate Halo and Cortana downloaded the index to her systems, the moniter ordered them to kill Cheif and remove Cortana to recover the index, but they still had orders to destroy flood forms. And in Halo 2 the sentinels attack the Arbiter because the Covenant aren't "reclaimer" species so in the event of the flood being released they're killed on sight.

Because in halo 1 you area working with the moonitor in halo 2 you arent. The monitor controls the sentinals.

Because in halo 1 you work with the monitor. They are scared of the flood too.
