Question for Halo: Combat Evolved

I have always been confused about this. Now, the flood were burried under ground and when we found them, they kept reproducing creating more flood. Are the flood actually our dead soldiers and the covenent elites. If they are then, what are the exploding sack flood evolved out of. And what about the tiny chasers. They look like the heads of the dead. ?????

Actually!!! the flood is a virus and not a disease. The disease is just the infectious biproduct of the virus that causes the viral reconfiguration of cellular makeup.

A misconception easily confused in the real world. The flood uses a living humanoid (human/covenant) to cumulate.

The large sack that explodes with the smaller parasite/protozoa inside are actually humanoid hosts harbouring a growing load of reproduced organisms that feed off organic tissues and thus spread the virus.

I should know!!!

Are you sure?

I thought that the heads grew up to bee monsters and those monsters grew up to be the really big monsters and they grew up to be the big sacs and in order to reproduce, they must explode.

Also, if they evolved from humanoids, who built halo? Who ever it was it wasn't living.

It said in level 8 that it is meant to destroy all life in order to starve them to death.

I was wrong, the "chasers" are a virus that when come in contact with a living organism infect it causing is to mutate into the flood warriors. The exploding sacks are infected grunts and jackals that the flood mutated into the carrier form because the flood don't believe they are tough enough to fight. The flood where built artificially by the forrunners that built the ring because there was too many poor people the flood was created to take care of them by decreasing the poor population. The experiment went horribly wrong so they built libraries on each halo to help contain the flood but one day the flood won the battle and the forrunners left and left the sentenals and 343 to contain the flood. They realized that it was impossible to win against the flood with combat so they figured that the only way to defeat them was to starve them to death so they armed the halo's, left the galexy and any planet able of sestaining life would be destroyed because they thought it was the only way to stop the flood from spreading by infecting the inhabitants of the planet. The flood can easily learn any techknowledgy because that big blob in "keys" was the command form of the flood and the command form can access the memory of any of the infected organisms to learn anything they want including techknowledgy. The only reason why the chasers/spores pop when they touch you is because when they come in contact with your shield they explode.

In short, the flood are an artificiallly created organism built by the forrunner of Halo who's soul purpose was to eliminate an over-population problem but they where built too strong and spreaded killing and infecting more than intending causing the forrunners to flee, they locked up the flood left and intended for the flood to starve to death by killing everything that they could consume, mutate or use as carrier form to reproduce because every living thing that finds it is infected making the flood too powerful to contain.

So, tell me, if the Grunts and Jakals were thought too weak to fight, and Grunts and Jakals are the only living aliens that (besides the flood) carry plasma pistols, I would not understand why they would be chosen to be carrier flood?

The're are some Marines that carry alien weapons, but mostly beacuse their former ones were broken, smashed, destroyed or lost in any way, shape, or form. Usually, when Marines are flood, they also still sometimes carry alien weapons. And when they do, the must at least carry a frag grenade to be called a (I don't know any other ways to say it) frenemy. So I don't know how you guys would know.

My friend, the one that is a Halo maniac and has all the Halo books, told me this. The "tiny chasers" are really the flood. The "tiny chasers" go into a body/host and turned the host into flood.

Like those flood creatures that look like humans. Those are marines. Those without a face are the Covenant. The really big ones that reproduce are I guess Covenant and marines.
