halo crazy answered:

Yes,where it says (if only I had a super weapon) go through the door kill the Elite before he gets in the Banshee (shoot the Elite in the head with a sniper rifle).

ieatflood answered:

You can cut a big chunk out of your mission this way too.

The Master Chief answered:

At the very beginnig no - but towards the middle and again at the end, yes. Halo crazy has already answered the end of the level's banshee steal, but in the middle, where you get the tank, you can get the banshee, too. Grab a rocket launcher and destroy all the ghosts using the tank. Now, back up, to where you originally ot the tank. Head to the left - don't take the tunnel. Look up - you should see a small metal ledge above you. It is moderately wide at first, then gets slimmer. In between the two, where the edge slants, slimming the ledge, fire a rocket into the middle. If you place the rocket correctly, a banshee should fall off the ledge, before the elite has a chance to take it. Go through the level, using the banshee's ability of flight to your advantage. Once you get outside, after "Rolling Thunder," fly up onto the plateau. Another Banshee - a new one, in fact. Fly ahead to the area you would normally lose the marines at. Instead of going back inside, fly up to the twin bridges. Coming at them, there should be one, then a second. You want the second one. Land on it and take the door to the right. There should be no more enemy resistance.
