Introduction
Pokemon Ruby was the Third Generation Installment of Pokemon and was released in 2002 with Sapphire version for the Game Boy Advanced console, which was released in 2002 as well. Ruby and Sapphire become the first Pokemon series main games with full color environments and sprites.
Sapphire version is very similar to Ruby, and only differs in a few ways. Sapphire has certain Pokemon you can only get in this game and not in Sapphire. Zangoose, Groudon, are just a few. This game, like previous titles, features a story, 8 gyms, and an Elite Four. Pokemon from previous Generations can be found in the Safari Zone and other areas post story as well, but are quite rare.
There are legendary Pokemon as well. In Ruby, you can capture Latios post story, but he'll be roaming so you'll have to find her the hard way. You can also find Rayquaza as well post story.
