Well, I'm not sure about the one for Mos Espa Podrace just yet, but the one in Gunship Cavalry is by the area with the minikit piece behind the metal BH (Bounty Hunter) wall, on the right side of that section of the level.
I almost missed it too, it's cleverly hidden, behind the big rock pillar, at first when I saw the speck of red I thought I was seeing things, but upon closer investigation, I found it was the Power Brick, hope I helped you a little.

-RED BRICK: Power Brick Detector - Right after you jump off the ledge into the
Area with the circular pits that slow you down, go to the left through the
Pits, and it is on the ground right before you have to veer back to the right
To proceed on the track. This can be done in Story Mode.
