In The Walking Dead: Survivors there are 6 different types of resources, and they are used for different things. You will obtain resources passively for your resource buildings within your town, the higher the level of your building the more resources they will generate. You can assign survivors or formations to gather resources from scavenge sites. You can receive resources from completing the daily challenges or by participating in Events. Finally, you can also attack enemy players to raid resources from their town, this is the most lucrative way to obtain them.
Listed below are the 6 types of resources you can gather in the game:
Veggies
You need vegies to train fighters and improve your town. Your fighters also consume vegies for upkeep.
Water
Water is needed for many upgrades and training fighters. Your fighters also consume water for upkeep.
Lumber
Lumber is needed for construction work and other ways to improve your town.
Meat
Meat is needed for a variety of ways to improve your town.
Bullets
Bullets are needed for a variety of ways to improve your town. Bullets are the only resource that you cannot gather or assign survivors on. Rubies
Rubies can be used for instant upgrades, as a substitute for some missing resources and to reduce waiting times. Rubies are the premium currency in the game and can be purchased with real money at the shop where they can also be used to purchase speed-ups, teleportations, and shields. There are special items in the store and radio transmissions which can only be bought by rubies.
