During your journey, you can allow your Mother to save some of the money you win. Your Mother will hold onto 25% of your earnings that you win from battles. This allows you to always have some money even if you lose all the money you have on you. With this feature, you can deposit or withdraw money at anytime. You can even call your Mother on your phone and get a balance. After a while, your Mother will even make a couple of purchases for you using the money.Latest Updates for the Pokemon Crystal wiki
