How do you preform a finisher? Is it the same as the old Smack vs Raw games? I tried pressing triangle in front and behind a groggy opponent and nothing happens!

To perform a finisher you must have a stored fighting style. When your wrestler has a full meter that has turned white you must strike your opponent. At that point you will be prompted to hit triangle to perform your finisher. It is a little tricky at first but you will get the hang of it. The strike to make your opponent groggy is the key.
You can't store your finsher you need it to be flashing to preform it.
You have to have full finisher or momentum then have your opponent groggy and then hit the finisher.
Remember that not all finishers have to be done that way. You have the ones where you need to get your opponent groggy before you can strike. Those are:
- Front finishers
- Back finishers
- On TB + opponent standing finishers
Then you have the ones you can do when your opponent is down, such as:
- On TB + Opponent down finishers
- Grounded + opponent faced up finishers
- Grounded + opponent faced down finishers
- Grounded + upper body
- Grounded + lower body
You also have the special ones like:
- Running finisher (no groggyness needed)
- Rope down finisher
During the game, once your momentum meter is filled, and the player is in the correct position which corresponds how to do their finisher you just press triangle, as far as I'm aware.
It's been years since I've played, so I'm terribly sorry I cannot be of more help!
