Black soul gems

Okay I need help to make a black soul gem. I read on hear that if you go to one of the four necromancer lairs on a certaint day and activate the altar then cast soul trap on a grand soul gem thats on the altar it will turn into a black soul gem. I have done tried that on the altar in the cellar of the masion in anvil but it won't work what am I doing wrong. Please help. Sithis rocks

Try it in the coffin in front of that necromancer cave ( forgot the name) and use only empty grand soul gems and only on that specific day.

First off you need a grand soul gem (only works with those) then, once a week approach the alter (the one I know best is Dark Fissure), place the gem inside and cast the soul trap spell on it when the purple light in the sky is shining on the alter. This will give you a black soul gem, these are the only gems that will allow you to capture human souls. Remember though that the light in the sky is needed to help transform the grand soul gem and only appears once a week so without it nothing will happen.
