I take it you're talking about the chapter 'Hoth Battle'? If so....

This is indeed a pain and is the has been the last minikit piece I had to get in the whole game for sometime! The minikit detector isn't a help either as it points directly into a blank piece of snow but gives no hints as to how to get the piece to appear for collection!

As of 10 minutes ago I may have an answer!!!!!

I haven't tried this yet but I understand from a good friend that the trick is to deal with both AT-AT's (rope them till they fall and then blow up with mines). After that you need to rope and fell 10 of the smaller walking bad guys (apologies to enthusiasts as I can't recall off hand what they're called!). Apparently, if you do all of that, the minikit piece appears above the snow for collection. I'll be trying it tomorrow.
