You get it by getting shot at (being in the red) and killing all the guys before you die?

I go it but I've no idea how =/
I was playing Vendetta on hardened and shot Amsel and it just I got the trophy. Might have somthing to do with Gallacher's idea though

Just do a mission on any difficulty (veteran is fasest) and let your enemies kill you a lot. Keep trying and after about 20 deaths you should get purple heart.

You have to kill a lot of enemies when they are shooting at you.

When you are almost dead you need to kill a whole loada guys and survive(i think)
