If you refuse to pay rent. Keep an eye on the right hand side of the screen where the things your going to do are and when you see the rent guys face there cancel it by pressing the triangle and he won't take your money

Press R2 ,as soon as you do the computer will take over until you move,the computer will socialise with any sims,fill the stats the only thing it doesnt do is work,move location,change clothes,buy stuff.
