Whatever you do don't stop shooting and kill enemys with the same weapon as you for more ammo

Yeah that level got me a few times too. You need to continue shooting no matter what. Get guns that are the same tpye as yours but if you can't find any don't waste time grab any weapon you can find or else you'll lose the ship and fail the mission. After a while the shield on the ship will turn...green (if i'm not mistaken)
That means you've almost won. You can attack the ship your homing attack...but it is risky! You might damage shadow.
