How do I beat Blacklist #9?

How do I beat Earl, I have been stuck on him forever. I can beat him easily on the speedtrap, but it's the long sprint that I get stuck on. He stays right behind me during the race and always gets me at the end of the race. So I need to know, what is the best car to beat him with? Give me some tips to please.

A better question would be... "How upgraded is your car?"
A better car doesn't help as much as the upgrades on the car. If you don't have good upgrades, then you will lose whether you have a great car or not.
One of the best ways to win is to simply practice on that sprint course outside of career mode. Do it until you get sick of the track and when you start falling asleep. And once you can easily beat everybody else, take Earl on.
Another thing that may be stopping you is the layout of the track. There may be hidden shortcuts you don't know about. The best way to find them: practice outside career mode.

Cayman is the best car to use and it will be lot more easy for you to win if you upgrade it.

Keep racing and earn alot of cash then upgrade your car a the max condition as you can and focus on whats infront of you,try not to look back.

I had same problem hes crap at speedtrap but class at sprint I could beat up until about 85% but then id be on his but from there on if your the same the key is stay with him when you have a full bar of nos then use 3 quaters of it just in case but if you can't stay up with him then I suggest you go back to baron and do some of his races to get money to do up your car

Listen man, DON'T USE THE CAYMAN!!!!! I could never beat him with that, and I am a PRO at NFS. What I suggest is use the TOYOTA SUPRA, (vic's) and MAX IT OUT. Performance settings are important too. Nitrous: all the way to the left. Turbo: to the right. And steering: to the right. Hope this helps, and occasionally, during that race, he crashes into shortcuts, giving you the upper hand.
