In the wise owls forest, how do I get psat floor nine, it says something about smelling like a snake or stepping on a big button?

To get past that floor you need to have completed cacao's house. He will give you a flute which attracts snakes. Be prepared for a duel. Also make sure your serpant sword is equipped otherwise you can't defeat the snake.
