A good tip to help you play is before you start playing, wash your hands, especially if you are having trouble on a song. Now I don't know how exactly this works but once you try it you will understand. It helps your grip on the guitar and makes it easier for you to hit the notes.

HEY ITS GUITARGOD3 HERE IS ANOTHER WAY TO BE AS GOOD AS ME!!!This time play each song on easy all 4 in each venue then do the exact same thing then on hard then you should be able to play expert.oh by the way if you do all the songs on bonus songs that should help and if your still bad go to practice and do the instuctoins above.then do all the tuternals.if you are still bad you should play on easy until I make HOW TO ROCK 3 but just to be nice good luck!!

Before you start, tie a rubber band around the green button. That should get you past the into of that song.

Many people have trouble with learning this song, and I can hardly blame them. But there's a way.
I would hope you're familiar with "practice" mode? Select TTFAF, Expert diffieculty, select the "intro" only if you're just starting, then you'll be asked for a speed preference.
Select "SLOWEST" and play. The song will begin with a red note then continue with hammer ons throughout the entire beginning.
As soon as you strum the red note, put your pointer finger on the green button and hold it there. Every green note in the intro is a hammer on, and as long as you hold that button and don't miss notes, over half of the intro is set up to play itself.
Back to the beginning: you've just strummed the red button. Your pointer finger is on the green button and your ring finger (or whatever's comfortable) is on the YELLOW: which is the next note.
To be honest, the intro isn't that hard. I can play it with my eyes closed. And as you get better, you can increase the speed.
Of course..then there's the matter of learning the rest of the song. That's up to you. Just practice by section.

If you have a working computer and any guitar hero controller or band band guitar controller and you want to get better this is what you do. You go to www.youtube.com then type in the name of a song then click on a video that looks like guitar hero then when the video starts get out your guitar and wait for the notes on the computer come up then when the notes on the computer do show up press the correct frets down on the guitar and strum. (The key is to get the same notes on the guitar that are on the computer). Even though you wont get to see the percentage of notes you hit it's still making you better. (If you have no clue what I was talking about then oh well find someone who does know what I'm talking about).

Hey if you go on through the fire and the flames on expert just hit the green notes.... It will play the full intro...if you hit the other notes you may hear some sound but not much!! :D

Instead of pressing the select button on the playstaion 2 controler,you can press the right button on the D-pad.It works for star power and battle for 1 & 2player on any mode.

Hey I found something wierd about gh3...the guitars never have amps plugged in...and you never see a jack lead... I was on 'lay down' by priestless..with judie nails at lous inferno on medium (finishing the songs I didnt do off) at 1 point you get a close up view of the guitar...i used and sg standard..and there is no lead..weird huh??

The easiest way is to deafet any boss (Tom Morollo, Slash, and Lou) is to svae you power-up the best one is The Whammy and double notes if you get those two at the same time use them back to back when they are playing back-to-back notes and it will be the easiest way to deafet them
To protct yourself from they attacking you is...
If he attacks you with The Whammy (note they computer always uses the attacks when they get them) you keep an eye out on the computer and when you see that he is going to get Whammy you just start Whamming
If he attacks you with lefty flp just look at a mirror to the screen and it's just normal

The easiest way to deafet any one is to save up your powers-up what I think to do is to get The Whammy and double notes then just use them back to back and the will defet them

Hey I found a way cool glitch that doesnt help you..well it might.. Right get into a guitar battle with lou..preferably expert..right make yourself fail by strummin the strum bar until you fail...now go to practice mode and guitar battle..do what the old man says until you get to the part where you unleash your attack..when it says lesson complete wait until the next fret board comes up and quit...go back to the battle..now you should be playing an expert battle when lou is on easy..the dirty cheater!!! >:(
Hi everybody! If your having problems playing this song on expert, well heres a way to play it. If you put a rubber band around the green button in the intro(make sure you pause the game) you do not have to play the green notes, the game will do it for you. Make sure you take your finger off the notes(for instance orange) in between every note, or the game won't play it and you will fail!!! Try it out and see how well it works!!! Go on! Try it out right now!

When scrolling down the list of songs on easy...there is a picture of the very good tasting gum "Five Gum".It is pretty funny.
