Final Fantasy VII Questions

OK. I'm going to put this as plain and simple as I can. I CAN'T BEAT THE UNDERWATER WEAPON! So please help me if you don't mind. And hints on how to beat safer sephiroth would help to........

For the weapon under the water you need to have ziedrich equipped to someone as it stops his ram thing from killing them and have omnislash and mime so that you can keep using it.With sephiroth use things like mighty guard(i think thats what it's called)have haste on everybody and then just use your biggest summons limits and magic and that should make it easy.

Ill give it to you as simply as I can. It worked for me and I hope it works for you.
I used barret, red xiii, and cloud. I advise you use them because thats who I used and I don't know if it would work the same with someone else. First make sure all of them are at at least level 75, so get training. Before you enter the battle save and maybe write down how you have your materia set up because for the battle your going to need it a certain way, my way! Clear all there materia and equip them with there final weapons and good armor. Like with cloud, give him the powere wrist, redxiii should have zelderich, and give barret whatever is good. You want them to all have an hp of 9999, so give them hp+s until they have 9999 hp. No more than needed! Your only going to want to have one attacker, cloud. And he must have 4x cut. If you don't have 4x cut, get it! You will have one healer, redxiii, but barret can help out but I don't recommend it because barret will be equiped with w-item. Because of w-item you should have 99 megalixers. Right before you enter the battle, set the battle speed to slow. When you fight only use cloud to attack with 4x cut, this should do 9999 4 times. Every rime he attacks you party use red xiii to heal with a megalixer. If you run low on megalixers, w-item it. No one else should attack him except for cloud unless someone else has a limit break. If someone else has a limit break rather than cloud, use it and cloud will be the healer for that turn. Just keep repeating this and the weapon should fall within ten minutes. Oh yeah and equip barret with the underwater materia.
Now for safer sephiroth. This battle is much simpler. Either use 4x cut(how handy 4xcut is) a bunch of times or just use Knights of the round materia a couple of times and he should fall. Im not one to use the knights of the round materia in any battle, ut for this one, it really works. Thats all!!

Master three Revives, give one to each character you will use and combine them with Final Attack materia. This should save you if Emerald Weapon uses his ultimate attack that WILL kill your characters since it does 9999 damage.

Master Mime twice so you have three. Give one of your characters Knights of the Round.

When the battle begins have that character use Knights of the Round and Mime it continually. It takes twelve Knights of the Round to kill Emerald Weapon. Make sure you have a magazine or a book to read, this DOES take a while.

What every one sayd might work but they left out one very important part. You will last alot longer without that 20:00 minute rule. To eliminate this you will need the underwater materia. This will eliminate the 20 min. You can obtain this by morphing the ghost ship in the underwater reacter and then goin to talk to the kalm traveler.
You will need alot of mp and hp for this fight so make sure to use hp plus materia and mp plus materia if your stats are not at the top. Also equip cloud with w-summon and knights of the round, and the others with mime. Also uquip as many people as possible with final attack and revive materia combo. Now for your battle.
Have cloud attack with knights of the round. Since you have w-summon attached it should attack twice. The others have mime so this should create an endless attack of knights of the round. It can't kill you because you have that final attack revive combo so it shouldn't be that hard. Good luck.

When I fight I just use the Enemy skill laser.
It get rid of 9999 hp.
But it get harder from there.
