I think it's invisible, try using a command, and see if it works.

Hi I am just another KOTOR1 player I put the EnableCheats=1 saved it and started kotor and while I was playing I tryed the ~ key and the ' key but no console showed up and if it where invisible I would have realised because once the console is opened the game pauses automaticly and you can begin typing with out worring of player control I know cus my friend played kotor1 and once he opened the cheat console he could type and his game is paused.

By the way I am using windows 7 with kotor see if it has anything to do with it because the cheats still didnt work on my windows XP.

I belive you need to put the EnableCheats=1 some where specific in the [GAME OPTIONS]try puting it in alphabetical order or try other slots.

My opinion is SWKOTOR rejects the EnableCheats=1 and counts as an Error or the game thinks it doesnt exist or the EnableCheats=1 does not belong in the swkotor.ini or the game swkotor.ini might have been alredy installed with an EnableCheats=0 not 1 but 0 and that command is hiding some where in the ini file so try to find it and replace it with a 1 so the game might now realise that the origanl factory installed EnableCheats=0 has been changed to 1 with out having 2 EnableCheats commands that might confuse the game. If you don't under stand what I am saying I will explain in simple terms:

1:find and change the origanal EnableCheats=0 and with it delete the number 0 only (and I really mean only one press of back space)and replace it with the number 1

2:once that happens save the swkotor.ini file and begin the game then when playing press ~ or " and the console might show up.

Thats the 2 easy steps in plain english

PS: try and find EnableCheats=0 before you add another confusing copy of EnableCheats=1.

PPS: don't RUSH! Check before you Change thats my motto.

PPPS: if you don't check and add another EnableCheats=1 the game will get confused of one that says on and the other says OFF.

Thx thats all
