Question for Halo: Combat Evolved

My Windows 7 x64 install has a screen size of 1366x768 (HP pavilion dv6 laptop) and when I run Halo 1 x86 (32-bit), the screen size defaults to 640x400, regardless of what settings I mess with in the Settings menu. It says it's running 1024x768, but doesn't actually use those settings. The Halo area doesn't take up the whole screen, it just runs in 640x400 with massive black areas around the edge of my screen. Any help figuring out why this is, and how to fix it, would be appreciated.

Actually, I've got a Pavilion dv6 with the same resolution. But when I changed my screen resolution setting on Halo, it worked... Try re-installing Halo.

Go to the root installation folder where you have installed halo 1 and open the right click on the halo application and edit the target line:
-vidmode,1366,728,60
Copy the above command after giving a single blank space after the " in target line.
Always use the edited application to play the game.
