"gathering exeption data"

how do i make the exeption data window go away forever? i downloaded a 3rd person view mod for halo trial but whenever i activate it, it brings up a window saying gathering exeption data! i play the halo combat evolved trial version, and i downloaded a bunch of mods. and i cant figure out how to make them work.

Well, what is a fatal error anyway???? It is an error that happens when you load a map file and the computer is loading all of the scenery, weapons, vehicles, etc and it goes to load something like ,well lets just say, a tree, and the computer searches everywhere fore the file with a tree in it, and when it cant find it, the map does not load properly, so it shuts it down and thats where you get the GATHERING EXEPTION DATA crap that comes up. To fix this ,you have to make sure that the map you downloaded is all there, like not ending the download before it is actually done. if you do that, then you will have to back-up that map file so that when it goes to GATHER EXEPTION DATA it has something to read off of so that it GATHERS ALL EXEPTION DATA and re-boots and works.Thats it.

u hafta open halo first and then open the third person mod otherwise it crashes

Often the mods are incomplete, as they are made by people who aren't dedicated to the mods. It has happened to me. I had a modded copy that gave me the same message.
