installing the game on windows vista

I tried to install on windows vista and it installed fine but when I went to play the game it loaded and when it came up to the start menu all the colours ther were was black, white and red. You also couldn't see the names on the menu's. When I eventually started playing the game it only displayed some of the colours and the characters were compltely black like shadows. Can you help please?

My guess would be that either your video settings are overloading your computer's resources or that your video card/accelerator is having issues. Or it could be that one of the game's files were corrupted during installation.
Your first move would be to check the minimum system requirements. If your computer passes all of them, try changing the video settings in Halo. If it still has problems afterwards, try reinstalling the game. If even that doesn't work, update your driver for the video card/accelerator. And if that doesn't work, try it on another computer and see if it works fine there because if it does, then your computer is the problem somewhere and it will be up to you to nail the bugger.
