I have an urgent question. How do you get down Princess Peach's slide in less than 21 seconds?! I've tried everything, and I just can't make it! Please answer. Thanks.

Before you start to slide down the slide press z and b so you go feet first but not sitting down. Make sure you take the second trun wide and when there is a bend on the wall on the left side jump over it. You should then fall down and land on the slide at the bottom. If you don't get it the first time keep working on it until you get it. It is possible because I've done it and I've collected all 120 stars, gone on the roof and talked to yoshi. When you get up there you get 100 lives from him.
You gotta know the track, which way the turns go - hold forward to gain speed and take the insides of the turns to save time and stay fast! It's very doable - good luck man!
If you can't make it down by pushing forward on the control stick the whole way, then try the following. After you exit the tunnel at the start and the slide levels out. Stand up (jump with A to stand) run over to the side and jump off. If you jumped off in the right place you should land on a farther part of the slide. Make sure you ground pound or you'll lose time instead of gaining it. Don't worry, you can't lose a life here, so if you miss it, you can try again.
At some points, you can jump for a shortcut like in some of the zig-zag areas of the slide. btw, my record is 16.6 seconds so you SHOULD be able to get at least under 21 seconds. I've seen people do it in under 13.1 but I have no idea how they do it...
Just dive when you start the race and keep pressing forward at all times till the end
I know what you mean because this really bugged me too. What you want to do is try and use a long jump near the start (try not to hit the wall/ceiling or else you will fall back and lose precious time). Then hold up on the control stick and follow the course. It took me a long time but eventually I made it with a time of 20.8 seconds WITHOUT jumping off and hurting myself.
This is what u do. Run down the slide and as you're sliding, stay on the right side of the wall, if it works, you'll bumb into the wall as it starts 2 turn left, then you'll start sliding backwards. When the walls end, before u start sliding on the steep parts of the slide, jump. If it works, you'll be standing on the slide. Then quickly run towards the barricade that keep u on the slide on the left-hand side of the screen going towards u, (assuming u didn't mess with the camera angle when you stopped sliding), get on the barricade, and do either a long jump or jump and push B 2 do a dive 2 make it 2 the structure below. Then quickly get up (if u hurt yourself) and then run towards where u can see the slide again, jump down, and slide down. If u make it in less than 21 seconds, a star will appear as soon as u cross the finish line. Get that star and youre done. This sounds hard, but you'll eventually get it. Hopefully this helps, and if it does work and u get 120 stars, go 2 the last level and beat Bowser in the sky again and he will say something different.
