The Monster Hunter franchise has made its way over to the Nintendo Switch with the release of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. The game was not developed for the Nintendo Switch, it was originally released in America as Monster Hunter Generations for the 3DS back in 2016 and there was an expanded version called Monster Hunter XX that was released in Japan. The game that has now been released on the Nintendo Switch is basically an upgraded version of the expanded Japanese 3DS version with some added content which includes new armour to craft and new monsters to slay.
