Lisitn , if you got 1,000 , 5,000 e.t.c. you did it wrong . Ask people who knew how to do it and worked if you are confused .

I use the one that was posted further up fir 20000. That works but only gives 5000. But i used it loads today! Very pleased! The original one on page didnt work though. One i use:
Go into settings (device settings)
Turn on airplane mode
Change year to 2011. You will have to set it manually by unclickin automatic.
Go to sims, there should be error message.
Go back to settings and put everything back the way it was before (turn airplane mode off and date automatic)
Go to sims as you usually would and tge money should go up.

I didn't work the first time, but tried again and go 30,000 :-) Helps since my game dispeared into the eather for no reason recently and I had to start again!! So wasn't happy.... lost 100ltp, 1 mil $ and 18 sims! SO this helps sweeten the bitter pill I swallowed.... Thanks!

For those of you confused as to how to change to
One month one year later, what it really means is
To go to your phone settings, not the game settings, go
to general, date and time, and then turn automatic off.
you the change the wheel to 2013, and December. When the
actual month IS December, you would change it to January.

Just so everyone knows there's a new cheat gets around 20,000 each time
1-turn on airplane mode
2-go to general, then to Date And Time and hit the button so you can change it manually
3-ONLY change the year (I change mine back to 2011 and it works fine)
4-open sims (it will give you an error message this is good!)
5-Go to settings turn off airplane mode, go to date and time and hit the button for it to set everything automatically
6- now go back to sims and if it worked it should give you extra money

I've been using this for the past two days but do it now because the next update may cause it to not work anymore, good luck and I hope it didn't confuse you!
