The one time I found gold I found it right at the bottom of the map but have not seeen a piece since ( personally to me gold is rubbish it degrades quicker than wood

Ok so I've been mining for a while, and I just found gold. So far there have only been a few pieces, and although gold is cool, I've heard that it degrades quickly. I may just use it to build a cool-looking house, because my man goal is diamond. Here's pretty much a foolproof way to find anything: start digging in a staircase pattern. Make it two blocks wide. Keep digging down, stopping an digging out coal, iron, etc. It's a good idea to have a furnace, crafting table, chest and (optional) a bed. Iron pickaxes and lots of torches (or materials to make torches) are ESSENTIAL. The bed is for if you're not playing in peaceful mode. I am, because it's easier to not have to fight monsters and the like while I'm digging. I hope this helped! Sorry it's so long...

Sorry, personally I came on here for an answer, but clearly I haven't found one, if anyone finds a seed for where to get gold in large amounts, dammit! Put that baby online c'mon so guys get making new worlds, try this seed: jpgaming

Try branch mining,make a long tunnel and then make several little tunnels 3 blocks apart

I find gold to be rarer than diamond in pocket edition. Diamond is easily around the base of the grid (more precisely three blocks above the base). I've only ever gotten 13 ingots in total and I need 23 more (I think) to build the pattern for a nether reactor. I suppose just mine and mine. I like to build tunnels that cover a wide range -- roughly 8x5 stairways down. Hope this was helpful

I haven't found any gold yet but I think this may help multiplying your blocks. First you set some down then you click the home button 2 times then hold the minecraft symbol instill it shows a negative sign above it. Click on it then get back on the game, it should have doubled you're amount. Hopefully this helped. :D

Awesome glitch to get infinite diamond,iron,and gold is to get at least 9 diamond,gold,or iron and make a block out of it.then make a iron or gold or diamond piece to get more diamond than before and keep on doing itð

Where you spawn look around near to you and there should be a low down waterfall below some ledges jump into it and go to the mountain in front if you. There should be 4 blocks of mud in a square, mine dig the ones on the right 5 blocks in then dig down. And there's you're gold if you dig far enlighten there is a few blocks then just do the duplication cheat. Hope that helps!
