When you arrive in The Void you are treated to a CS in which you see a familiar area and Serah and Noel have a conversation about Lightning and Yeul -- with Noel explaining a lot about her.  Examine the crystal throne and then throw Moogle to the Treasure Chest on the right side to obtain the Calm Gate Seal, and the Treasure Chest on the left to obtain the Prediction Gate Seal.

This accounts for everything that you can do here -- so after you take a good look around for the fun of it, head for the Gate in the rear of the area and use that to return to the Histroica Crux, unlocking access to both Academia AF400 and Serendipity AF??? -- with our destination being Serendipity.
